September 21, 2024: Akron, IA 51001 Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Akron-Westfield Westerners (Akron, IA) and the visiting Rock Valley Rockets (Rock Valley, IA), observed Akron-Westfield's volleyball team hold off Rock Valley by a count of 2-1.
The Westerners (9-5) will now prepare for their contest against George-Little Rock (George, IA). The Mustangs enter the non-league contest with a 6-6 record. In their last contest, George-Little Rock got by West Sioux (Hawarden, IA), 2-0, in a league contest.
Next, the Rockets battle the Sheldon Orabs (Sheldon, IA) in a contest, on Thursday, September 26. Rock Valley will attempt to move on its 3-5 season record. The Orabs enter the contest with a 8-8 record after their 2-0 league win over Sioux City West (Sioux City, IA).
