October 1, 2024: Akron, IA 51001 Akron-Westfield Westerners (Akron, IA) followers left the game satisfied Tuesday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting West Sioux Falcons (Hawarden, IA), 3-0 in a league test.
With the win, Akron-Westfield advances its record to 15-5 on the season. The Westerners travel to Gehlen Catholic (Le Mars, IA) to face the Jays in a non-league test on Tuesday, October 8. The Jays go into the test with a record of 11-6. Gehlen Catholic won 3-1 in their recent non-league test against Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union (Marcus, IA)
The Falcons now sport a 1-16 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hinton for a test on Tuesday, October 8. West Sioux will face a Blackhawks squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over George-Little Rock (George, IA). The Blackhawks record now stands at 10-4.
