In Friday's league game, the Little River Academy Bumblebees (Little River Academy, TX) football team knocked off the visiting Troy Trojans (Troy, TX), by a final score of 49-21.

The Bumblebees (5-0) will now prepare for their game against Lorena (Lorena, TX). The Leopards come into the 3A-1 Region III District 11 game with a 3-2 record. In their last game, Lorena toppled C.H. Yoe (Cameron, TX), 43-41, in a league game.

The Trojans now hold a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they host McGregor for a 3A-1 Region III District 11 game on Friday, September 29. Troy will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 55-7 league loss to Franklin (Franklin, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-3.
