In Friday's league game, the McKinney Lions (McKinney, TX) football team were victorious over the host Boyd Broncos (McKinney, TX), by a score of 45-28.

The Lions (4-1) will now prepare for their game against Braswell (Little Elm, TX). The Bengals come into the 6A Region I District 5 game with a 2-3 record. In their last game, Braswell was knocked off by Allen (Allen, TX), 43-7, in a league game.

The Broncos now sport a 0-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Guyer for a 6A Region I District 5 game on Friday, September 30. Boyd will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 49-21 league win over Little Elm (Little Elm, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 5-0.
