The Bruning-Davenport/Shickley Eagles (Bruning, NE) volleyball overcame the visiting Shelby-Rising City Huskies (Shelby, NE), 2-0 in Tuesday's league contest.

The Eagles (6-5) will now prepare for their contest against Meridian (Daykin, NE). The Mustangs enter the non-league contest with a 8-5 record. In their last contest, Meridian notched a victory over East Butler (Brainard, NE), 3-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Huskies battle the High Plains Storm (Polk, NE) in a D1 District 4 contest, on Thursday, September 25. Shelby-Rising City will attempt to improve on its 8-3 season record. The Storm go into the battle with a 8-6 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Newman Grove/St. Edward (Newman Grove, NE).
