Fans at Thursday's league contest between the Shelby-Rising City Huskies (Shelby, NE) and the host Dorchester Longhorns (Dorchester, NE), observed Shelby-Rising City's volleyball team top Dorchester by a tally of 2-0.

The Huskies (10-3) will now prepare for their contest against Aquinas (David City, NE). The Monarchs enter the non-league contest with a 3-11 record. In their last contest, Aquinas beat East Butler (Brainard, NE), 2-0, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Longhorns encounter the Nebraska Lutheran Knights (Waco, NE) in a D2 District 4 test, on Saturday, September 27. Dorchester will attempt to improve on its 6-6 season record.
