Vian Wolverines (Vian, OK) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Checotah Wildcats (Checotah, OK), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Wolverines now own a 27-14 record. They take the field next when they travel to Fort Gibson for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, September 26.

With the loss, Checotah falls to 16-16 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Morris (Morris, OK) to face the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Monday, September 25. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 14-15. Morris lost 12-2 in their recent league challenge against Kansas (Kansas, OK)
