Virginia High School Football - Albemarle tops Charlottesville

September 25, 2025: Charlottesville, VA 22901

The Albemarle Patriots football squad scored 40 points and limited the visiting Charlottesville Black Knights to 20 in the Patriots league triumph on Thursday.

The Patriots now hold a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Goochland for a Jefferson test on Friday, October 3. Albemarle will meet a Bulldogs squad coming off a 25-22 league loss to Orange County (Orange, VA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-3.

With the defeat, Charlottesville drops to 1-3 on the campaign. The Black knights host Louisa County (Mineral, VA) to meet the Lions in a Jefferson test on Friday, October 3. The Lions come into the test with a record of 4-0. Louisa County won 56-15 in their recent league test against Fluvanna County (Palmyra, VA)
