Pennsylvania High School Football - Blackhawk knocked off by Montour

September 26, 2025: McKees Rocks, PA 15136

In Friday's league outing, the Montour Spartans (McKees Rocks, PA) football squad knocked off the visiting Blackhawk Cougars (Beaver Falls, PA), by a margin of 28-7.

The Spartans now sport a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to New Castle for a WPIAL AAAA Parkway outing on Friday, October 3. Montour will clash with a Hurricanes squad coming off a 18-12 league win over Aliquippa (Aliquippa, PA). The Hurricanes record now stands at 5-1.

With the defeat, Blackhawk drops to 2-4 on the campaign. The Cougars host Ambridge (Ambridge, PA) to clash with the Bridgers in a WPIAL AAAA Parkway outing on Friday, October 3. The Bridgers come into the outing with a record of 1-5. Ambridge lost 70-0 in their recent league game against West Allegheny (Imperial, PA)
