Pennsylvania High School Football - Hempfield Area tops Canon-McMillan

September 26, 2025: Greensburg, PA 15601

The Hempfield Area Spartans football squad scored 38 points and limited the visiting Canon-McMillan Big Macs to 27 in the Spartans league win on Friday.

In their next game, the Spartans face the Norwin Knights (North Huntingdon, PA) in a WPIAL AAAAAA Quad-County challenge, on Friday, October 3. Hempfield Area will attempt to improve on its 4-2 season record. The Knights go into the challenge with a 4-2 record after their 21-17 non-league win over North Hills (Pittsburgh, PA).

The Big Macs (3-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Seneca Valley (Harmony, PA). The Raiders go into the WPIAL AAAAAA Quad-County challenge with a 2-4 record. In their last challenge, Seneca Valley lost by Mt. Lebanon (Pittsburgh, PA), 41-20, in a league test.
