September 26, 2025: Carrizozo, NM 88301 The Mountainair Mustangs football squad scored 57 points and limited the host Carrizozo Grizzlies to 0 in the Mustangs league triumph on Friday.
In their next game, the Mustangs face the Magdalena Steers (Magdalena, NM) in a 6-Man District 2 (6 Man) challenge, on Friday, October 3. Mountainair will attempt to improve on its 3-2 season record. The Steers go into the challenge with a 4-1 record after their 58-7 league win over Animas (Animas, NM).
The Grizzlies (1-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Floyd (Floyd, NM). The Broncos go into the non-league challenge with a 1-3 record. In their last challenge, Floyd was ripped by Logan (Logan, NM), 57-0, in a league challenge.
