York Dukes (York, NE) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team nip the host Crete Cardinals (Crete, NE), 21-14 in a league battle.

With the win, York advances its record to 3-2 on the season. The Dukes host Lincoln Northwest (Lincoln, NE) to confront the Falcons in a B District 4 match on Friday, October 3. The Falcons come into the match with a record of 1-4. Lincoln Northwest lost 28-17 in their recent league match against Seward (Seward, NE)

Coming up next, the Cardinals confront the Ralston Rams (Ralston, NE) in a non-league match, on Thursday, October 2. Crete will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Rams go into the battle with a 2-3 record after their 40-7 league win over Platteview (Springfield, NE).
