Virginia High School Football - Indian River trounces Grassfield

September 26, 2025: Chesapeake, VA 23325

In Friday's league test, the host Indian River Braves football squad scored a decisive 59-16 triumph over the Grassfield Grizzlies.

The Braves now sport a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Western Branch for a Southeastern test on Friday, October 3. Indian River will meet a Bruins squad coming off a 40-6 league loss to Nansemond River (Suffolk, VA). The Bruins record now stands at 3-1.

With the defeat, Grassfield drops to 0-4 on the campaign. The Grizzlies host King's Fork (Suffolk, VA) to meet the Bulldogs in a Southeastern test on Friday, October 3. The Bulldogs come into the test with a record of 3-1. King's Fork lost 42-14 in their recent league test against Oscar Smith (Chesapeake, VA)
