Virginia High School Football - Great Bridge defeated by Indian River

September 12, 2025: Chesapeake, VA 23322

The Indian River Braves were victorious over the host Great Bridge Wildcats football team by a score of 28-7 in Friday's league test.

The Braves now sport a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Oscar Smith for a Southeastern test on Saturday, September 20. Indian River will clash with a Tigers squad coming off a 24-6 non-league win over Warwick (Newport News, VA). The Tigers record now stands at 1-1.

With the defeat, Great Bridge drops to 0-2 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to King's Fork (Suffolk, VA) to clash with the Bulldogs in a Southeastern test on Friday, September 19. The Bulldogs come into the test with a record of 2-0. King's Fork won 34-0 in their recent league test against Deep Creek (Chesapeake, VA)
