The Papillion-LaVista Monarchs edged the visiting Lincoln East Spartans volleyball squad by a final score of 2-1 in Friday's non-league game.

Next up, the Monarchs face the Papillion-LaVista South Titans (Papillion, NE) in a non-league game, on Friday, September 26. Papillion-LaVista will attempt to advance on its 6-10 season record. The Titans go into the game with a 14-5 record after their 3-1 league win over Marian (Omaha, NE).

With the loss, Lincoln East drops to 6-12 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Kearney (Kearney, NE) to play the Bearcats in a A District outing on Tuesday, September 30.
