New York High School Football - New Utrecht thwarted by DeWitt Clinton
September 27, 2024: Bronx, NY 10468 DeWitt Clinton Governors (Bronx, NY) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting New Utrecht Utes (Brooklyn, NY), 22-6 in a non-league battle.
With the win, DeWitt Clinton advances its record to 3-1 on the season. The Governors host Eagle Academy II (Brooklyn, NY) to play the Eagle in a non-league battle on Saturday, October 5. The Eagle go into the battle with a record of 2-1. Eagle Academy II won 14-0 in their recent league battle against Madison (Brooklyn, NY)
The Utes now own a 1-3 record. They play next when they travel to Madison for a PSAL 4A battle on Sunday, October 6. New Utrecht will play a Golden Knights team coming off a 14-0 league loss to Eagle Academy II (Brooklyn, NY). The Golden Knights record now stands at 0-3.
