In Friday's league game, the Gwynn Park Yellowjackets (Brandywine, MD) football team were victorious over the host Potomac Wolverines (Oxon Hill, MD), by a score of 40-20.

In their next game, the Yellowjackets face the Crossland Cavaliers (Temple Hills, MD) in a Prince George's County 2A/1A game, on Friday, October 4. Gwynn Park will attempt to improve on its 3-1 season record. The Cavaliers enter the game with a 2-2 record after their 18-13 league loss to Surrattsville (Clinton, MD).
