September 28, 2022: Belmont, NC 28012 The crowd at Wednesday's league test between the South Point Red Raiders (Belmont, NC) and the visiting Ashbrook Greenwave (Gastonia, NC), saw South Point's soccer squad get by Ashbrook by a margin of 1-0.
The Red Raiders now sport a 7-3 record. They play next when they travel to North Gaston for a Big South 3A test on Monday, October 3. South Point will meet a Wildcats squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Huss (Gastonia, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 8-4.
With the loss, Ashbrook drops to 5-7 on the season. The Greenwave host Huss (Gastonia, NC) to meet the Huskies in a Big South 3A test on Monday, October 3. The Huskies come into the test with a record of 4-6. Huss lost 3-0 in their recent league test against North Gaston (Dallas, NC)
