September 29, 2022: Carrollton, GA 30116 Central Lions (Carrollton, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Northwest Whitfield Bruins (Tunnel Hill, GA), 3-0 in a league challenge.
The Lions now own a 17-4 record. They take the field next when they host Heritage for a 4A Region 7 challenge on Tuesday, October 4. Central will face a Generals squad coming off a 13-0 league win over Cedartown (Cedartown, GA). The Generals record now stands at 16-5.
With the loss, Northwest Whitfield falls to 12-11 on the campaign. The Bruins travel to Southeast Whitfield County (Dalton, GA) to face the Raiders in a 4A Region 7 challenge on Tuesday, October 4. The Raiders enter the challenge with a record of 2-15.
