California High School Flag Football - Newport Harbor can't hold off Huntington Beach

Huntington Beach Oilers (Huntington Beach, CA) followers went home pleased Monday as they saw their flag football team nip the host Newport Harbor Sailors (Newport Beach, CA), 18-12 in a league battle.

With the win, Huntington Beach advances its record to 15-1 on the season. The Oilers host Corona del Mar (Newport Beach, CA) to meet the Sea Kings in a Sunset test on Wednesday, October 1. The Sea Kings come into the test with a record of 9-11. Corona del Mar won 14-0 in their recent league test against Los Alamitos (Los Alamitos, CA)

With the defeat, Newport Harbor drops to 18-2 on the campaign. The Sailors travel to Edison (Huntington Beach, CA) to meet the Chargers in a Sunset test on Wednesday, October 1. The Chargers come into the test with a record of 14-8. Edison lost 16-14 in their recent non-league test against Cypress (Cypress, CA)
