In Monday's non-league challenge, the visiting Walnut Wildcats volleyball squad scored a 3-1 win over the Ripley Tigers.

With the win, Walnut advances its record to 30-3 on the season. The Wildcats host Baldwyn (Baldwyn, MS) to confront the Bearcats in a Class 2A Region 1 game on Tuesday, September 30. The Bearcats go into the game with a record of 13-8. Baldwyn lost 3-1 in their recent league game against Hatley (Amory, MS)

The Tigers (18-6) will now prepare for their game against Corinth (Corinth, MS). The Warriors go into the non-league game with a 3-20 record. In their last game, Corinth gained a win over South Pontotoc (Pontotoc, MS), 3-0, in a non-league outing.
