The Valdez Buccaneers (Valdez, AK) volleyball overcame the host South Anchorage Wolverines (Anchorage, AK), 2-0 in Saturday's non-league outing.

With the win, Valdez upgrades its record to 11-11 on the year. The Buccaneers travel to Lathrop (Fairbanks, AK) to face the Malemutes in a non-league outing on Saturday, September 3. The Malemutes go into the outing with a record of 1-2. Lathrop lost 2-0 in their recent non-league outing against Wasilla (Wasilla, AK)

The Wolverines now own a 4-3 record. They play next when they travel to Chugiak for a 4A Cook Inlet outing on Wednesday, September 7. South Anchorage will face a Mustangs squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Bartlett (Anchorage, AK). The Mustangs record now stands at 7-5.
