North Carolina High School Volleyball - Wilkes Central over Freedom
September 3, 2025: Morganton, NC 28655 Fans at Wednesday's non-league contest between the Wilkes Central Eagles (Wilkesboro, NC) and the host Freedom Patriots (Morganton, NC), observed Wilkes Central's volleyball team top Freedom by a count of 2-0.
The Eagles (3-6) will now prepare for their contest against Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC). The Huskies enter the contest with a 3-4 record. In their last contest, Ashe County notched a victory over North Wilkes (Hays, NC), 2-0, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Patriots encounter the Watauga Pioneers (Boone, NC) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, September 9. Freedom will attempt to improve on its 2-5 season record. The Pioneers go into the battle with a 8-0 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Hickory Christian Academy (Hickory, NC).
