The Iola Mustangs held off the host Fredonia Yellowjackets volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Mustangs now have a 6-16 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Santa Fe Trail for a non-league test on Tuesday, October 5.

The Yellowjackets (9-11) will now prepare for their test against Erie (Erie, KS). The Red Devils enter the non-league test with a 4-12 record.
