September 30, 2023: Athena, OR 97813 In Saturday's league contest, the Stanfield Tigers (Stanfield, OR) volleyball squad nudged the host Weston-McEwen TigerScots (Athena, OR), by a margin of 3-2.
Next up, the Tigers face the Irrigon Knights (Irrigon, OR) in a 2A Blue Mountain contest, on Saturday, September 30. Stanfield will attempt to better on its 7-8 season record. The Knights go into the contest with a 8-5 record after their 3-2 league loss to Heppner (Heppner, OR).
With the loss, Weston-McEwen moves to 6-10 on the year. The Tigerscots travel to Ione/Arlington (Ione, OR) to face the Cardinals in a non-league contest on Tuesday, October 3.
