New Jersey High School Soccer - High Point knocks off Vernon
September 30, 2024: Sussex, NJ 07461 Fans at Monday's league battle between the High Point Wildcats (Sussex, NJ) and the visiting Vernon Vikings (Vernon, NJ), saw High Point's soccer squad prevail over Vernon by a score of 5-1.
The Wildcats (2-6) will now prepare for their battle against Pequannock (Pompton Plains, NJ). The Golden Panthers enter the non-league battle with a 4-1 record. In their last battle, Pequannock Mountain Lakes (Mountain Lakes, NJ), 0-0, in a non-league battle.
Next up, the Vikings confront the Kittatinny Regional Cougars (Newton, NJ) in a Northwest Jersey - Freedom battle, on Wednesday, October 2. Vernon will attempt to improve on its 1-7 season record. The Cougars enter the battle with a 4-2 record after their 3-0 league loss to Wallkill Valley (Hamburg, NJ).
