Virginia High School Volleyball - Tunstall over Bassett

Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the Tunstall Trojans (Dry Fork, VA) and the host Bassett Bengals (Bassett, VA), observed Tunstall's volleyball team top Bassett by a tally of 3-1.

The Trojans (9-3) will now prepare for their battle against Mecklenburg County (Baskerville, VA). The Phoenix go into the non-league battle with a 6-7 record. In their last battle, Mecklenburg County achieved victory over George Washington (Danville, VA), 3-0, in a non-league battle.

The Bengals now own a 5-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Halifax County for a Piedmont battle on Thursday, October 2. Bassett will encounter a Comets squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Magna Vista (Ridgeway, VA). The Comets record now stands at 4-10.
