Central Valley Cougars (Greeley, NE) boosters left the game thrilled Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad nudge the visiting Riverside Chargers (Cedar Rapids, NE), 2-1 in a non-league test.

With the win, Central Valley improves its record to 5-1 on the season. The Cougars travel to Broken Bow (Broken Bow, NE) to face the Indians in a non-league test on Saturday, September 6. The Indians go into the test with a record of 1-2. Broken Bow lost 3-1 in their recent non-league test against Gothenburg (Gothenburg, NE)

The Chargers now own a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Grand Island Lutheran for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 9. Riverside will face a Lightning squad coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Newman Grove/St. Edward (Newman Grove, NE). The Lightning record now stands at 5-1.
