The Union Pines Vikings topped the host Southern Lee Cavaliers volleyball squad by a final score of 3-1 in Thursday's league game.

Next up, the Vikings confront the Triton Hawks (Erwin, NC) in a Carolina Pines 6A game, on Tuesday, September 9. Union Pines will attempt to advance on its 10-1 season record. The Hawks go into the game with a 2-6 record after their 3-1 league loss to Western Harnett (Lillington, NC).

The Cavaliers (8-1) will now prepare for their game against Cape Fear Christian Academy (Erwin, NC). The Eagles go into the non-league outing with a 2-7 record. In their last outing, Cape Fear Christian Academy was topped by Lee Christian (Sanford, NC), 3-2, in a league outing.
