September 5, 2023: Mechanicsville, VA 23116 The Hanover Hawks (Mechanicsville, VA) volleyball overcame the visiting Freeman Mavericks (Richmond, VA), 3-0 in Tuesday's non-league outing.
With the win, Hanover upgrades its record to 3-1 on the year. The Hawks travel to J.R. Tucker (Henrico, VA) to play the Tigers in a non-league outing on Monday, September 11. The Tigers go into the outing with a record of 2-3.
The Mavericks now own a 2-2 record. They play next when they travel to St. Catherine's for a non-league outing on Wednesday, September 6. Freeman will play a Saints squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Courtland (Spotsylvania, VA). The Saints record now stands at 5-0.
