Virginia High School Volleyball - Freeman tips J.R. Tucker
September 26, 2023: Richmond, VA 23229 The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the Freeman Mavericks (Richmond, VA) and the visiting J.R. Tucker Tigers (Henrico, VA), saw Freeman's volleyball squad nip J.R. Tucker by a tally of 3-2.
With the win, Freeman upgrades its record to 4-6 on the year. The Mavericks travel to Hermitage (Richmond, VA) to play the Panthers in a Colonial bout on Thursday, September 28. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 2-9. Hermitage lost 3-0 in their recent league bout against Maggie Walker (Richmond, VA)
The Tigers now own a 5-7 record. They play next when they travel to Manchester for a non-league bout on Monday, October 2. J.R. Tucker will play a Lancers squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to James River Midlothian (Midlothian, VA). The Lancers record now stands at 3-9.
