Pennsylvania High School Football - Altoona holds off Cumberland Valley

September 5, 2025: Mechanicsburg, PA 17050

The Altoona Mountain Lions football team scored 17 points and held the host Cumberland Valley Eagles to 16 in the Mountain Lions league victory on Friday.

In their next game, the Mountain Lions face the Central Dauphin Rams (Harrisburg, PA) in a Mid-Penn - Commonwealth game, on Friday, September 12. Altoona will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record. The Rams enter the game with a 1-2 record after their 41-0 league win over Carlisle (Carlisle, PA).

The Eagles (1-2) will now prepare for their game against State College (State College, PA). The Little Lions enter the Mid-Penn - Commonwealth game with a 2-1 record. In their last game, State College was edged by Harrisburg (Harrisburg, PA), 48-45, in a league game.
