In Saturday's non-league test, the host Venice Gondoliers volleyball squad scored a tight 2-1 win over the Taft Toreadors.

With the win, Venice advances its record to 9-2 on the season. The Gondoliers travel to Palisades (Pacific Palisades, CA) to face the Dolphins in a non-league test on Saturday, September 6. The Dolphins go into the test with a record of 7-0. Palisades won 2-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Larchmont Charter (West Hollywood, CA)

Next, the Toreadors play the Oxnard Yellowjackets (Oxnard, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 13. Taft will attempt to upgrade on its 11-4 season record.
