Caney Cougars (Caney, OK) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Bennington Bears (Bennington, OK), 12-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Cougars now sport a 13-12 record. They take the field next when they host Hartshorne for a non-league challenge on Saturday, September 9. Caney will face a Miners squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Calera (Calera, OK). The Miners record now stands at 10-10.

With the loss, Bennington falls to 1-14 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Rock Creek (Bokchito, OK) to face the Mustangs in a non-league challenge on Monday, September 11. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a record of 12-11. Rock Creek won 7-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Wilson (Wilson, OK)
