The Union Academy Cardinals (Monroe, NC) volleyball overcame the visiting The Math and Science Academy of Charlotte - Concord Campus Lions (Charlotte, NC), 3-0 in Monday's non-league contest.

The Cardinals (10-1) will now prepare for their contest against Gray Stone Day (Misenheimer, NC). The Knights enter the Yadkin Valley 2A/3A contest with a 4-5 record. In their last contest, Gray Stone Day was knocked off by North Stanly (New London, NC), 3-1, in a league contest.

Next, the Lions battle the Triad Math and Science Academy Bengals (Greensboro, NC) in a non-league contest, on Wednesday, September 10.
