Lyons Lions (Lyons, KS) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Haven Wildcats (Haven, KS), 8-0 in a league test.

Senior Brice Moore threw a three hit shut out, facing 26 batters over seven innings. Brice struck out eleven batters and walked only two and hit one batter. Lyons started the scoring in the second inning with one run on a throwing error on a bunt by Senior Spencer Johnson. Junior Nick Loesch walked and stole second and then advanced on the sacrifice bunt that sailed into right field and scored Loesch from second. Lyons score twomore runs in the third on a stike out dropped third strike and a two run homerun by Senior Brennen Clark. The fourth run was score int eh fourth inning on a two singles. Senior Brice Moore helped himself by leading of the inning with a single. he was replaced by courtesy runner Sophomore Brandon Harmony. He scored on a single by Freshman Kody Cox. They plated two more runs in the fifth and sixth inning. In the fifth the Lions had three singles and were able to score two runs.
