The Pershing County Mustangs (Lovelock, NV) basketball crushed the host Silver Stage Nighthawks (Silver Springs, NV), 67-25 in Saturday's league bout.

The Mustangs now possess a 8-10 record. They play next when they travel to Battle Mountain for a 2A Northern bout on Friday, January 17. Pershing County will play a Longhorns team coming off a 52-37 league win over Yerington (Yerington, NV). The Longhorns record now stands at 10-5.

With the loss, Silver Stage falls to 2-9 on the campaign. The Nighthawks host Oasis Academy (Fallon, NV) to play the Bighorns in a 2A Northern bout on Tuesday, January 14. The Bighorns go into the bout with a record of 4-8. Oasis Academy lost 78-40 in their recent league bout against West Wendover (West Wendover, NV)
