North Carolina High School Basketball - East Mecklenburg overwhelmed by Charlotte Catholic

In Tuesday's league test, the Charlotte Catholic Cougars (Charlotte, NC) basketball squad trounced the visiting East Mecklenburg Eagles (Charlotte, NC), by a score of 70-47.

Next, the Cougars encounter the Marvin Ridge Mavericks (Waxhaw, NC) in a non-league test, on Friday, January 17. Charlotte Catholic will attempt to improve on its 8-8 season record. The Mavericks come into the test with a 11-4 record after their 59-40 non-league loss to North Mecklenburg (Huntersville, NC).

The Eagles (4-12) will now prepare for their test against Providence (Charlotte, NC). The Panthers come into the 4A Southwestern test with a 6-11 record. In their last test, Providence bounced Garinger (Charlotte, NC), 62-24, in a league test.
