Texas High School Basketball - Wagner knocks off Veterans Memorial

In Tuesday's league contest, the host Wagner Thunderbirds basketball team scored a good 48-38 win over the Veterans Memorial Patriots.

The Thunderbirds (13-4) will now prepare for their contest against Smithson Valley (Spring Branch, TX). The Rangers come into the 5A Region IV District 26 contest with a 7-7 record. In their last contest, Smithson Valley was topped by New Braunfels (New Braunfels, TX), 75-52, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Patriots battle the Tivy Antlers (Kerrville, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 26 contest, on Friday, December 20. Veterans Memorial will attempt to better on its 9-8 season record. The Antlers come into the contest with a 12-10 record after their 74-67 non-league loss to Southwest (San Antonio, TX).
