The Hough Huskies softball team scored 12 runs and held the host Mallard Creek Mavericks to 0 in the Huskies league win on Thursday.

The Huskies now sport a 19-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hopewell for a Queen City 3A/4A battle on Thursday, May 1.

With the loss, Mallard Creek moves to 7-11 on the season. The Mavericks host North Mecklenburg (Huntersville, NC) to confront the Vikings in a Queen City 3A/4A battle on Monday, April 28. The Vikings come into the battle with a record of 9-6. North Mecklenburg won 23-8 in their recent league battle against Chambers (Charlotte, NC)
