The Newton Railroaders (Newton, KS) basketball crushed the host Salina Central Mustangs (Salina, KS), 63-41 in Tuesday's league bout.

The Railroaders now possess a 10-8 record. They play next when they host Andover Central for a Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail II bout on Thursday, February 27. Newton will play a Jaguars team coming off a 52-49 league win over Eisenhower (Goddard, KS). The Jaguars record now stands at 11-8.

With the loss, Salina Central falls to 8-11 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Haysville Campus (Wichita, KS) to play the Colts in a non-league bout on Friday, February 28.
