West Virginia High School Basketball - Pocahontas County can't hold off Webster County
March 3, 2025: Upper Glade, WV 26206 Webster County Highlanders (Upper Glade, WV) boosters left the game satisfied Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Pocahontas County Warriors (Dunmore, WV), 52-48 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Webster County upgrades its record to 9-13 on the year. The Highlanders travel to River View (Bradshaw, WV) to face the Raiders in a non-league match on Friday, March 7. The Raiders enter the match with a record of 6-12. River View lost 63-31 in their recent league match against Montcalm (Montcalm, WV)
The Warriors now sport a 6-14 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Union for a Potomac Valley A match on Tuesday, March 4. Pocahontas County will face a Tigers squad coming off a 70-52 non-league win over Hundred (Hundred, WV). The Tigers record now stands at 10-10.
