Arizona High School Basketball - Paradise Valley can't hold off Willow Canyon

February 1, 2024: Surprise, AZ 85388

The Willow Canyon Wildcats basketball team scored 44 points and restricted the visiting Paradise Valley Trojans to 38 in the Wildcats league victory on Thursday.

The Wildcats now sport a 16-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ironwood for a 5A Northwest match on Friday, February 2. Willow Canyon will meet a Eagles team coming off a 66-28 league loss to Kellis (Glendale, AZ). The Eagles record now stands at 5-17.

With the defeat, Paradise Valley moves to 15-10 on the year. The Trojans host Sunrise Mountain (Peoria, AZ) to meet the Mustangs in a 5A Northwest match on Friday, February 2. The Mustangs enter the match with a record of 21-4. Sunrise Mountain won 60-36 in their recent league match against Centennial (Peoria, AZ)
