February 5, 2025: Charleston, WV 25311 The Capital Cougars basketball squad (Charleston, WV), was outscored 76-58 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the visiting Chapmanville Regional Tigers (Chapmanville, WV)
With the victory, Chapmanville Regional advances its record to 8-5 on the year. The Tigers host Nitro (Nitro, WV) to meet the Wildcats in a Cardinal battle on Friday, February 7. The Wildcats enter the battle with a record of 10-3. Nitro won 77-49 in their recent league battle against Winfield (Winfield, WV)
The Cougars now own a 4-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cabell Midland for a Mountain State battle on Monday, February 10. Capital will meet a Knights squad coming off a 58-55 non-league win over Breathitt County (Jackson, KY). The Knights record now stands at 8-8.
