The Western Branch Bruins (Chesapeake, VA) basketball were winner over the host Salem Sundevils (Virginia Beach, VA), 62-53 in Thursday's non-league bout.

The Bruins now possess a 4-8 record. They play next when they travel to Deep Creek for a Southeastern bout on Friday, January 31. Western Branch will play a Hornets team coming off a 91-83 league win over Grassfield (Chesapeake, VA). The Hornets record now stands at 4-11.
