Lauren Strain

Lauren Strain has been named player of the year. "Lauren Strain is a once in a generation type player for Horizon High School Volleyball. Not only does she possess the physical traits to dominate on the court, she is the most Mentally Tough player I have worked with. She is the first player in the gym, helping with set up, works harder than everyone, and is always asking for more practice and input to improve her game. She is able to recognize errors, correct them, and move on to the next play. She was unanimously voting team captain, lead the team in Aces, Kills, and blocks as a middle blocker. She lead the league in blocks by a huge margin. She lead by example and let her actions speak for her. When she needed to say something to the team, it was always listened to and received by every player. Lauren is the MVP/POY for Horizon and our league. She completely changes the momentum of a game when she comes in or out of the match. She deserves every success that she earns in the future. "
