The Middletown Middie Bears basketball team scored 62 points and restricted the host Minisink Valley Warriors to 37 in the Middie Bears non-league victory on Wednesday.

The Middie Bears now sport a 3-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Newburgh Free Academy for a Section 9 Orange County I contest on Friday, January 5. Middletown will battle a Goldbacks team coming off a 77-67 non-league loss to Christian Brothers Academy (Albany, NY). The Goldbacks record now stands at 2-2.

The Warriors (2-7) will now prepare for their contest against Monticello (Monticello, NY). The Panthers come into the Section 9 Orange County II contest with a 5-4 record. In their last contest, Monticello triumphed over Beacon (Beacon, NY), 66-62, in a non-league contest.
