The El Capitan Gauchos (Merced, CA) baseball nipped the host Buhach Colony Thunder (Atwater, CA), 2-1 in Thursday's league contest.

Coming up next, the Gauchos encounter the Escalon Cougars (Escalon, CA) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, April 25. El Capitan will attempt to better on its 15-2 season record. The Cougars come into the contest with a 10-8 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Central Valley (Ceres, CA).
