The Rhea County Golden Eagles football team (Evensville, TN), was beaten 42-12 in Friday's league challenge with the host Walker Valley Mustangs (Cleveland, TN)

The Mustangs (5-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Howard Tech (Chattanooga, TN). The Hustlin' Tigers come into the 5A Region 4 challenge with a 1-4 record. In their last challenge, Howard Tech was beaten by East Hamilton (Ooltewah, TN), 49-28, in a league challenge.

The Golden Eagles now sport a 3-3 record. They take the field next when they host McMinn County for a 5A Region 4 challenge on Friday, September 29. Rhea County will meet a Cherokees team coming off a 57-7 league win over Ooltewah (Ooltewah, TN). The Cherokees record now stands at 4-2.
