The Hammond Wolves basketball team scored 50 points and held the visiting Gary West Side Cougars to 37 in the Wolves league triumph on Friday.

The Wolves now sport a 3-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Michigan City for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 10. Hammond will battle a Wolves team coming off a 72-62 non-league win over Gary West Side (Gary, IN). The Wolves record now stands at 3-0.

The Cougars (2-4) will now prepare for their contest against Mishawaka Marian (Mishawaka, IN). The Knights enter the non-league contest with a 6-0 record. In their last contest, Mishawaka Marian ran past Warren Central (Indianapolis, IN), 65-59, in a non-league contest.
